Nature Positive Plan

Nature Positive Plan

We believe business and nature can grow together. Our mission is to make organic the foundation of a thriving, future-proof food system that brings more nature back into agriculture while strengthening supply chains, communities, and brands.

This section explores how we turn that vision into action. Learn more about our Nature Positive Plan and how we measure progress through our Impact Growth Cycle. Discover how our Regener-Eight tool tracks regenerative practices across origins, and explore our latest Impact Report to see the results behind the data.

Impact growth cycle

Impact growth cycle

When organic becomes the standard, both nature and business thrive. The Nature Positive Plan connects business growth to positive environmental and social outcomes through our circular model, the Impact Growth Cycle.

This cycle shows how our work delivers measurable progress across five interconnected steps:

  1. Market demand: responding to growing consumer demand for conscious, organic products

  2. Investment in origin: reinvesting in sourcing regions to scale regenerative organic agriculture

  3. Regeneration: improving biodiversity, soil health, and farmer livelihoods

  4. Empowerment: enabling farmers to reinvest in their land and communities

  5. Resilience: creating high-performing, reliable supply chains that sustain future growth

This cycle shows how every part of our value chain contributes to regeneration, creating a direct link between business performance and environmental impact.

Nature positive: a global goal

Nature positive: a global goal

As part of our commitment to nature and progress, we have joined the Nature Positive Forum, a global platform working to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030 through shared metrics and collaborative tools. The forum connects businesses, governments, and NGOs in translating the global Nature Positive Goal into measurable action, ensuring that by the end of this decade, the world’s collective impact on nature is net positive.

Building on this shared ambition, we are developing our Nature Positive Plan: a practical, measurable, and traceable framework that allows us to scale impact as our business grows. It translates the global goal into concrete steps across our supply chains, from regenerative farming and ecosystem restoration to community partnerships and customer collaboration.

And the best part? You can be part of it! contributing to a shared vision that supports your brand goals while helping restore nature for future generations.

Targeting change

Targeting change

Our strategic approach comes to life through four key focus areas: Biodiversity, Climate, Water, and People. Each area has clear targets and measurable outcomes that guide our progress and reporting.

  1. Biodiversity: We scale regenerative organic agriculture and enhance ecosystem services in the regions we source from.
  2. Climate: We follow science-based carbon reduction pathways in our own operations and support scope 3 reductions through carbon insetting across our supply chains.
  3. Water: Our water efforts promote water-smart farming and safeguard water security in sourcing areas.
  4. People: We are committed to protecting human rights and improving the livelihoods of farmers, their families, and communities.

Together, these four pillars form the foundation of our sustainability roadmap, helping us scale impact alongside business growth.

Tracking progress with Regener-Eight

Tracking progress with Regener-Eight

To monitor progress, we have developed Regener-Eight, a tool that maps regenerative practices throughout our supply chains. Each ingredient receives a score from 1 to 8, which increases as more improvements are implemented.

  1. Organic practices (no GMO, no synthetic inputs)
  2. Crop diversity (intercropping, crop rotation, agroforestry and other diverse farm designs)
  3. Soil health (mulching, organic fertilization, biochar and other SOM/SOC-enhances)
  4. Biodiversity enhancement (hedgerows, pollinators, habitats, corridors, etc.)
  5. Circular flows (keeping rest-streams internal/close-by; for fertilization, animal feed)
  6. Water management (practices to reduce use or improve quality or access
  7. Beyond fair practices (additional premiums, long-term agreements, living wage/income)
  8. Community livelihoods (measurable beyond-farmer family reach; village, area, landscape)

We use Regener-Eight scores to guide improvement projects and collaborate with customers to accelerate change.

Partnering in origin

Partnering in origin

Our deep-rooted presence in sourcing regions allows us to turn sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes. We offer several ways to co-drive impact:

  • Volume-based contributions

  • Multi-year co-financing

  • One-off donations for targeted interventions

  • Strategic partnerships in origin

Through collaboration, we scale regenerative organic practices, provide hands-on support for farmers, and build large-scale co-financed projects with public and private partners.
