Integrated Sustainability Strategy

Tradin Organic sources premium, certified organic ingredients for the international food industry, carrying more than 150 products from over 60 origins. With boots on the ground, close relationships with farmers and local partners, and state-of-the-art own processing facilities, we offer ethically sourced, organic ingredients that help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.

Purpose and mission

Purpose and mission

Our purpose is to cultivate a regenerative food system by going beyond organic. We want to offer ingredients from sources where every plant and person involved is better off because of it.

The global food system needs to be more resilient, and we believe organic and regenerative practices are part of the answer because they increase soil health and biodiversity. Traceability and inclusivity are also becoming crucial standards in food production. Every single company, and consumer, plays a role in safeguarding the future of our food sources.

Our role is to sustainably source, process and distribute top-notch, certified ingredients. We run projects to ensure our own factories’ sustainability and support the farmers and suppliers we source from and are creating a platform (coming soon!) that enables our customers to put impactful products and brands on the shelve.

In our policies and due diligence system we outline the requirements we set for ourselves and our supply chain, and what origin data we collect and share with our customers. Together, we go beyond organic!

Impact areas

Impact areas

Our focus is on generating as much positive impact on the hectares and people involved in our supply chains, through three key impact areas:

  • Regenerative organic agriculture [SDG 13, 15]
  • Thriving farming communities [SDG 1, 8, 10]
  • Certified products with traceable impact [SDG 9, 12]

At this moment, we are establishing baselines and 2030 goals for these 3 impact areas. We are committed to report on progress regularly and to share data and impact measurement methodologies.

We don’t do this alone. Besides our extensive farmer networks and own factories, we work with carefully selected suppliers. We involve our clients, NGOs, governments and other partners in our work on the ground where they play a crucial role. Together, we go beyond organic.

Certified sustainability program

Certified sustainability program

Our way of working is audited annually by KIWA, who have awarded us the We Care label: a sustainability certification for the food industry which focuses on sustainability management in both companies and across their entire supply chains. We are proud to have achieved the "high level" performance score. The certification does not focus on auditing individual products but examines a company’s overall management approach. This ensures that We Care certified companies operate transparently for the benefit of people and the environment. The annual audits cover four areas of action:

  • Corporate Governance
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Employee Responsibility
  • Environmmental Managment
