As the market of organic sunflower products continues to grow, we are very excited about the upcoming harvest of the Organic Sunflower Crop of 2019. The harvest will begin at the end of August and this year we are expecting a high-quality crop. The weather conditions are quite favorable and the sunflower seeds are growing well, large in size and rich in taste, allowing us to produce high quality Organic Sunflower Kernels and Oil.

SunOpta Foods Bulgaria’s own processing facility uses the latest technology available in the market and keeps on improving based on customer wishes.Because of an increased flexibility in our kernel line, we are able to fully adapt to our customer’s kernel wishes - size, % broken, cleanliness and packaging. Our recently installed new oil line allows us to offer a wide range of (refined) oil products and a high protein sunflower cake.

With our support we have convinced many farmers around our factory to convert to organic. This has allowed us to offer an increased volume of European production, Currently we are planning in our new crop capacity, so we advise our customers to book in their volumes sooner rather than later!
