As the European Union’s Regulation 2018/848 on the production and labelling of organic products transitions into use for organic certification in third countries, Tradin Organic is ready to support suppliers in this transition. 

A Risk Based Approach 

Tradin Organic has appointed a new certification manager to lead compliance efforts and a smooth transition to the new EU organic regulation for our suppliers. A risk review of our supplier base has been conducted in order to prioritize partners in greater need of support and ensure their continuation to the organic certification. 

Capacity Building and Support  

Over the coming months, based on the level of risk and the need for external support, suppliers will be invited to take part in workshops run and specially adapted to their needs by the certification manager and the local Tradin representatives. They will be guided and advised during the transition period to meet the new requirements required by the new EU organic regulation.  

Risk Mitigation 

Tradin Organic remains in close contact with certification bodies and closely follows the latest updates from the European Commission. This ensures that guidance and advice given to our suppliers aligns with the latest regulatory developments.  

We understand that the implementation of this regulation may bring questions and uncertainties, but we uphold our commitment in providing the same broad range of ingredients with EU organic certification. It is our central concern that our suppliers are ready and compliant with the new EU organic regulation.
