Overview:
As Sourcing Manager SE Asia you will assist in identifying and initiating new organic raw material sourcing projects in Asia for the trade business, research the opportunity and possibilities resulting in a business plan and after approval of the business plan coordinate the work out/roll out of the project plan. You will be coordinating the implementation of ICS systems, Software tools for farm registration and traceability purposes, and setup and coordinate technical assistance programs. You will act a go-to for both EU and USA based commercial trading desks as well as local partners and potential suppliers.
Internally you will work very closely with our Traders, the Supply Chain team, Operations and the QA/QC Department. Externally your contacts are Suppliers, Farmers, Government, Certification Organizations, Customers, Exporters, Production Facilities etc. You will report to the Sourcing Development Director.

Your tasks, responsibilities and objectives:
Create business, project and budget plans for projects;
Execution of these business plans;
Quality and result of the output of the sourcing activity;
Development of existing sourcing projects;
Sparring partner in Sourcing Development strategy for SE Asia;
Technically support existing and new organic projects in meeting organic standards;
Setup and coordinate the Technical assistance programs per project with focus on efficient, effective organic solutions;
Assess feasibility organic production new partners.

For this challenging role, we have the following requirements:
A Bachelor/University degree in Agribusiness/Agriculture related fields;
Located in the Netherlands;
Work experience in a related field and in- or with the South East Asia region. This can also be through trainee- or internship
Ability to travel and work abroad;
An interest in sourcing of Agri-raw materials, QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards;
An interest/affinity with organic production and the ability to assess the quality of organic projects;
Knowledge of organic Agri Business, QA methodologies;
Excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal department;
Fluency in English (Verbal and written). Any other language proficiency is a plus
A self-directed capability of multi-tasking, problem-solving, and ability to work with minimal supervision;
The ability to interface directly with international, cross-functional teams;
The ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents;
Skills required to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits;
