Since our presence in the US market, with our offices located in Santa Cruz, California, the idea of developing an organic orange juice operation has always been of great interest. By 2004, we felt that the time was right to begin a direct sourcing project, by producing the freshest organic orange juice from the Veracruz region in Mexico, the third largest orange juice producer. This operation is managed and monitored by our subsidiary in the US.
About 30% of the production are early varieties like Arizona Sweet, Hamlin and Marsch, and the other 70% is pure Valencia oranges. We have worked side by side with local growers, to assure that the organic standards are meet, while keeping their high quality taste. Beyond the sweet organic orange juice, we also produce pulp, cold pressed peel oil, concentrated juice and essence oil. |
