Golden Falcon d.o.o has opened a brand new HACCP IQF (Individual Quick Frozen) freezing plant in Barbatovac. Barbatovac is a small village in the middle of the mountainous fruit region of Serbia, some 3 hours driving South of Belgrade. The opening took place on Friday the 5th of November.
The freezing factory has been built according to the latest technological standards and is the first HACCP operated IQF freezing plant in Serbia.
Golden Falcon is a joint venture between our mother company Tradin Organic Agriculture B.V., from Amsterdam, the Netherlands and its Serbian partner Mr. Mladen Đurović. The project was co-financed by the Dutch Government PSO program.
Tradin is the largest worldwide trader in organic raw materials, managing organic agricultural projects in many countries. Its products are sold to the food industry, not only in Europe, but also in the USA, Canada, Japan and other major Western countries.
The increased demand for high quality organic IQF frozen fruit made Tradin and its partner invest in this new factory, which is situated right in the heart of the organic project that Tradin and Mladen Đurović developed there as from 1996.
The factory will not only process the unique Serbian organic raspberries, sour cherries and prunes, but will also offer many other organic frozen products, like strawberries, blackberries. Soon some vegetables will also be added.
In addition to the frozen fruit products the Serbian project offers a wide range of other organic products, amongst others apple and other juice concentrates, dried prunes and other dried fruit etc.
With this innovative new factory the project will improve its product quality even further. The investments contribute also to the further development of this poor region, fully dependent on the (organic) fruit production.
