It was announced on Tuesday, 10th of November 2020 that Amsterdam Commodities N.V. (Acomo) has come to an agreement with SunOpta about the acquisition of Tradin Organic Agriculture B.V.

Tradin Organic has been a part of SunOpta group of companies since 2008 and through collaborative efforts Tradin has grown into one of the world’s leading processor and distributor of organically certified food ingredients.

In the last few months SunOpta and Acomo have been in talks about the acquisition of Tradin Organic and as of this week they have come to an agreement. With this acquisition agreement Acomo has acquired Tradin Organic. 

Gerard Versteegh, CEO of Tradin Organic, announced the acquisition to the employees and explained that this acquisition will not have much of an impact on the employees.
